Hi Everyone, 

I apologize for the lengthy email but I need to break down the city meet! City Meet is a 2-day meet that is against all 17 teams in our swim league. This year's city meet is on July 22nd and July 23rd. The older kids (11 and up) swim on the first day, and the younger kids (10 and under) swim on the younger. There are rules regarding swimming at the city meet if you are a club swimmer. There are not many families in that boat but if that does apply to you shoot me an email and we can talk! This year's City Meet is at Nelson Farm Pool, off Horsetooth and Lemay

Historically we never have more than 1 or more swimmers from RR go, it is a great opportunity for the end of the year swimming. City meet is a paid meet, however. It is $4 to enter your swimmer into the meet. Then $4 per event and $10 for a relay team if we have one. Last year they charged for spectator entry as well! In addition to this, the team is required to give volunteers, so it is more than likely if your swimmer decides to go that you will also have to volunteer in some way, shape, or form. These are both normal-length meets so they start around 8 and get done around 12 or 12:30. Our volunteering is for the most part in shifts

So what does it all mean for you? 

• Talk with your swimmer if they want to go! 
  • If they do yay!! Shoot me an email with the events they would like to swim at city meet. 
  • If not, that's okay too!
• Order merchandise if you want before Monday!
• After you email me I'll follow up about payment, and volunteering. There is an option to buy the meet packet (heat sheets) that has an approaching deadline as well.
